Quite an interesting scenario took place this day. A M-BELPHX came into town and stopped once it entered Restricted Limits. This train, the Z-PHXWSP finished loading up and backed into the Glendale intermodel yard to let the M-BELPHX pass before this Z train continued on its way. This is the first and only time I've ever seen a meet at Glendale and I'm puzzled as to why they just didn't preform the meet at DT Beardsley right outside of town since the siding was clear. The only reason that makes sense to me is that the crew of the M train was short on time and once it got into R.L., a yard crew could take it to Mobest Yard as opposed to getting a new road crew to take it on the short trip from Beardsley to Mobest. |
